So finally the day came to perform the Bless the Water process for the River Derwent near where I live. The river flows under Stamford Bridge, the site of a famous battle in 1066 between two brothers - Tostig (Norwegian invasion force) and Harold Godwinson in command of the Saxons. Harold won but three week later fell to William the Bastard (or The Conqueror).
So in addition to the blessing for the whole of Yorkshire to Wake Up and get ready for Ascension, there was a clearing and healing for all the souls caught up in the battle.
