"Beauty Unites Us" was a simple message from Pope Francis as we entered the Vatican Museum

Mission was to drop "love bombs" at different spots in the museum and in St Peters basilica. Here are a few of the locations where I was called:
After an amazing tour led by Anton (the only guide that speaks Japanese from Enjoy Rome tours), where we saw so many beautiful works of art - painting, sculpture and of course the Sistine chapel, we continued to St Peters.
Some words re the places chosen:
Vatican museum
Pine cone->pineal gland
Map of Venice -> 13 bloodline families
Last Judgement (Sistine chapel) -> timeline split
Madonna and child-> Queen of Heaven
Belvedere statue->inspiration of Jesus in Last Judgement
Donation of Constantine of Vatican city to the pope-> ended
Van Gogh pieta-> small but deeply moving
St Peters
Madonna of the Fever-> end of Covid
Vatican cross-> true cross reliquary
Pieta->Serenity at the moment of pure agony
List of popes-> Benedict and Francis missing
East window-> Sanctus Spirito
The visit to St Peters brought back memories of my previous visit there is 2014. Here is the blog on that trip.
After a quick lunch we headed to the 13 pillars - the obelisks that surround central Rome. The start was at the central pillar in St Peters square:

Then we all headed out the pre determined pillar. Ours was the one in piazza Navonna

Then to Campo di Fiore - to connect again with the Free thinking spirit of Giordano Bruno
