After leaving Glastonbury early as it was threatening to rain, we had a comfortable 3hr drive to Tintagel which was sunny and very busy. The King Arthur Great Hall was closed, but there were lots of other places that were open such as the old post office.
We checked into the magnificent Hotel Camelot
We had drinks on the Hotel's terrace overlooking Tintagel castle and watched the sun set over the Atlantic (the Sun was shimmering with red, blues and yellows rays as we sun gazed as it dipped into the clouds). This was followed by a super (and reasonably priced) meal at the hotel with a table overlooking the castle. But the best bit of the day was still in store for us, as we were treated to an art exhibition with Ted Stourton, the local wizard of art. I ended up buying a golden Zen friendship painting of an Enso.
