Our pilgrimage to the Hebrides started with a train journey to Inverness on 9th September 2021. We had a day out down Loch Ness for lunch at Fort August watching the boats come and go via the Caledonian canal.
The next day - on the 20th anniversary of 9/11, we drove to Ullapool, calling in at Strathpeffer and the Eagle stone. We said a prayer for the planet (and a wish to connect with the eagles on Lewis).
From Ullapool we took the ferry to Stornoway, arriving at out airbnb late.
