Timelines
Another big theme in Westworld is the need to think in Timelines. The way I picture timelines is to see a hexagon grid of events*. I found this on the web (Jezziebell.com) which shows bits of Season 1.

After seeing a unique timeline with events placed one after the other in the date sequence, the next step is to be able to see alternative timelines - this is multidimensional vision. It is not easy as our brains are configured to see time as a linear fashion going from past to present to future. The ability to think multi -dimensionally is needed in Season 2 where we see Bernard in different outfits (Black and white) and one with a scar and one without - to try to help us piece the complexity of different timelines.

I wonder whether this will be explored more in Season 4.
* A hexagon of events was a key element of the design of a game with my friend Alex Bardy called Agents in Time
